I’m Sam Carboni —
it’s nice to meet you!

I’m a marketing and communications leader based in Charlotte, North Carolina, where I’ve lived and worked for more than a decade. I earned my B.A. in Organizational and Professional Communications, summa cum laude, from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, and I am currently pursuing an M.A. in Integrated Marketing Communication from the University of North Carolina Wilmington.

I currently serve as the Director of Marketing & Communications for the UNC Charlotte Graduate School, where I lead marketing and communications efforts supporting a graduate portfolio of more than 150 programs of study. My experience spans integrated enrollment marketing, marketing automation and CRM administration, strategic communications and engagement, media planning, social media, branding and audience-focused campaign strategy.

Previously, I served as the Marketing & Communications Manager for the UNC Charlotte Belk College of Business and as the Marketing Director for Program Experience at the YMCA of Greater Charlotte. I also served on the Charlotte Regional Business Alliance Young Professionals Board.

Originally from the Milwaukee area, I’ve built both my career and community in Charlotte over the past decade. Outside of work, I enjoy exploring Charlotte’s local restaurant scene, spending time with my family and our pup, Oliver, and cheering on my favorite Wisconsin sports teams.
